Sentiment Analysis

What It Does

Sentiment Analysis tracks how your communities feel over time. It reads messages, replies, and feedback to show you mood trends, satisfaction scores, and early warning signs of unhappy residents.

Who It's For

Property Management Companies using LotWize to manage HOA portfolios.

How to Use It

Step 1: View Your Sentiment Dashboard

Click "Sentiment Analysis" in the sidebar. You will see a portfolio-wide mood score and a timeline of how it has changed over the last 30, 60, or 90 days.

Step 2: Drill Into a Community

Click any community on the chart to see its breakdown. You will find the top topics people are talking about and whether the tone is positive, neutral, or negative.

Step 3: Act on Alerts

If sentiment drops sharply, the system flags it. Click the alert to see what caused it — maybe a dues increase, a construction project, or a slow maintenance response. Use this to fix the root problem.

Common Issues

Q: Where does the sentiment data come from? A: It analyzes messages sent through LotWize communications, replies to broadcasts, and feedback forms. It does not read private resident-to-resident messages.

Q: Is the AI reading my private staff messages? A: No. Sentiment Analysis only looks at resident-facing communications and public feedback.

Pro Tips

  • Watch sentiment after big changes like fee increases or construction starts.
  • Share the monthly sentiment report with your board — it proves you are listening.
