How to Use It

Step 1: View Your Compliance Dashboard

Click "Compliance" in the sidebar. You will see a checklist of requirements for each community, organized by state and federal rules.

Step 2: Check Status

Each requirement shows a status: Compliant, Due Soon, or Overdue. Click any item to see what is needed and when it is due.

Step 3: Fix Issues

For overdue or due-soon items, click "Take Action." The system tells you exactly what to file, upload, or update. Complete the task and mark it done.

Common Issues

Q: Where does the compliance checklist come from? A: LotWize updates the checklist based on current regulations for each state where you operate. Rules change, and the system stays current.

Q: What if my community has special local rules? A: You can add custom compliance items for county or city rules. Click "Add Custom Rule" and fill in the details.

Pro Tips

  • Run the compliance report monthly and send it to your legal team.
  • Set custom reminders for items that take a long time to prepare, like annual audits.
