What It Does

The Voting feature lets you cast votes on community matters like budget changes, board elections, or rule updates. You can see active ballots, cast your vote securely, and view results after the ballot closes.

Who It's For

All homeowners and renters who are eligible to vote under your community's bylaws. Some votes may be limited to property owners only.

How to Use It

Step 1: Go to the Voting Page

Log in to your homeowner portal and click Voting in the sidebar. You will see a list of active ballots and past results.

Step 2: Review the Ballot

Click on an active ballot to read the full description, the options, and the voting deadline. Some ballots include an explainer to help you understand the impact of each option.

Step 3: Cast Your Vote

Pick your choice and click Submit Vote. Your vote is recorded securely. You can only vote once per ballot, so review your choice before you confirm.

Step 4: Check Results

After the ballot closes, results appear under Past Ballots. You can see how many people voted and what the final outcome was.

Common Issues

Q: Why can't I vote on some ballots? A: Some ballots are restricted to property owners only. If you are a renter, you may not have voting rights for certain matters. Check your community bylaws.

Q: Can I change my vote after I submit it? A: No. Once you submit a vote, it is final. Make sure you are ready before you confirm.

Q: What if I miss the voting deadline? A: Late votes are not accepted. Watch for email or portal notifications about upcoming ballots so you do not miss them.

Q: Is my vote anonymous? A: The system records that you voted, but your individual choice is kept private. Only the total results are shared.

Pro Tips

  • Vote early so you do not forget before the deadline.
  • Read the ballot explainer if one is included — it breaks down what each option means for the community.
  • Meetings — Voting topics are often discussed at board meetings before ballots open.
  • Documents — Read the full proposal documents behind major votes.
