What It Does

The Architectural Review feature lets you submit home improvement requests for board approval. This covers projects like fences, patios, paint colors, or exterior changes. The board reviews your request and gives an official decision.

Who It's For

Homeowners who want to make changes to the outside of their home or property.

How to Use It

Step 1: Go to the Architectural Page

Log in to your homeowner portal and click Architectural in the sidebar. You will see your past requests and their current status.

Step 2: Submit a New Request

Click the Submit Request button. Fill in the project title, category (fence, patio, paint, etc.), and a full description. Upload photos or drawings if you have them. Then click Submit.

Step 3: Track Your Request

After you submit, your request goes through these stages:

  • Submitted — The board has received it.
  • AI Reviewing — An automated check is running.
  • Under Board Review — The board is looking at it.
  • Approved / Conditionally Approved / Denied — Final decision.

You can check the status anytime on the same page.

Common Issues

Q: How long does approval take? A: Most boards respond within 5 to 10 business days. Check your status on the Architectural page.

Q: What happens if my request is denied? A: You will see the reason on the request detail page. You can revise and resubmit if the board allows it.

Q: Do I need approval for interior changes? A: Usually no. This feature is for exterior or structural changes that affect the community look. When in doubt, submit it and the board will guide you.

  • Include clear photos with your request — it speeds up the review.
  • Check your community bylaws first so your request aligns with existing rules.
