Voting

What It Does

The Voting feature lets board members create and manage community votes, surveys, and elections. From board elections to bylaws amendments, residents can vote securely online with full audit trails.

Who It's For

Board members of HOA/condo communities.

How to Use It

Step 1: Create a Vote

Go to Board Portal → Voting and click "New Vote." Choose the type: Board Election, Bylaws Amendment, Budget Approval, or Custom Survey. Set start and end dates.

Step 2: Define Options and Eligibility

Add candidates or choices. Set who can vote — all owners, specific buildings, or weighted by unit share. The system enforces eligibility automatically.

Step 3: Launch and Monitor

Click "Launch" to open voting. Track turnout in real time. When voting closes, results are calculated instantly and stored for audit.

Common Issues

Q: A resident says they cannot vote. A: Check their eligibility in Members. If their status is "Inactive" or they are a tenant where only owners vote, the system will block them.

Q: Can we do proxy voting? A: Yes. Owners can designate a proxy in their resident portal. The proxy's vote is tagged and auditable in the results.

Pro Tips

  • Send a Messages/Broadcasts reminder 48 hours before voting closes. Turnout jumps when you nudge people.
  • Export a full audit log after every vote. It proves transparency if anyone challenges the results.
