3-Minute Version (Help Center / Onboarding)

[INTRO — 0:00-0:20] [Screen: Friendly host at desk, LotWize logo in background]

HOST: "Welcome back to LotWize tutorials. I'm your host, and today we're covering a brand new feature — Join by Address. If your board or property manager never sent you an access code, you can now find and join your community using nothing but your street address. Let's walk through it step by step."

[SECTION 1: Getting to the Join Page — 0:20-0:45] [Screen: Browser showing lotwize.com/join]

HOST: "Start at lotwize dot com slash join. You'll see two tabs at the top of the page: Access Code, and Search by Address. If you have a code from your board, use the first tab — it's faster. But if you don't have a code, click Search by Address. That's what we're doing today."

[Screen: cursor clicks the Search by Address tab, page slides over]

[SECTION 2: Searching for Your Community — 0:45-1:15] [Screen: Search form with address input field]

HOST: "In the search box, type your street address. You don't need the full address — even just the street name and city will work. For example, let's type 'Maple Street, Springfield.' Click Search."

[Screen: typing animation, then results loading]

HOST: "Results appear as cards. Each card shows the community name and full address. Look for the one that matches where you live. If you see multiple communities on the same street, check the full address carefully."

[Screen: three community cards visible, cursor hovers over the correct one]

[SECTION 3: Selecting Your Property — 1:15-1:45] [Screen: Community detail view with property list]

HOST: "Click your community to open it. Now you'll see a list of all available properties — units, lots, or homes depending on your community type. Find yours and click it. If you don't see your property, that means your board hasn't added it yet. Contact them and ask them to update the roster."

[Screen: property list scrolls, cursor selects Unit 204]

HOST: "Once you select your property, the form below activates. This is where you create your account."

[SECTION 4: Creating Your Account — 1:45-2:20] [Screen: Account creation form with email, password, confirm password]

HOST: "Enter your email address — make sure it's correct because your approval notice goes there. Choose a strong password with at least eight characters. Confirm it. Then click Submit Request."

[Screen: form fills in, submit button clicks, success message appears]

HOST: "You'll see a success message saying your request has been sent to the board for review. You are NOT logged in yet — that's normal. Your board needs to approve you first."

[SECTION 5: Approval and First Login — 2:20-2:50] [Screen: Email inbox showing LotWize approval email]

HOST: "Most boards approve requests within one to two business days. When they do, you get an email like this one. Click the link in the email to set your password and log in for the first time."

[Screen: clicks link, password setup page, then homeowner portal dashboard]

HOST: "And you're in! Welcome to your homeowner portal. From here you can pay dues, book amenities, submit requests, and more. Check out our other tutorials for each feature."

[TROUBLESHOOTING — 2:50-3:15] [Screen: Split screen with two common issues]

HOST: "Quick troubleshooting. If your community doesn't appear in search, double-check your spelling or try a broader search with just the city. If your unit isn't listed, contact your board — they need to add it. And remember, joining by address does NOT use up any of the board's invite limits, so there's no downside to using this method."

[OUTRO — 3:15-3:30] [Screen: Host back at desk]

HOST: "That's Join by Address. No code, no problem. If you have questions, contact support at sanafai dot com. Thanks for watching, and we'll see you in the next tutorial."
