Maple Grove Village was a brand-new development completing developer turnover. Five volunteer board members — none with HOA experience — had 60 days to assume control of all records, vendor contracts, and financial accounts. They had no templates, no processes, and no institutional knowledge. They were also responsible for immediately setting initial dues and establishing the reserve fund from scratch.
