election voter participation

The Challenge

Blue Ridge Summit's 2022 election ended with a homeowner threatening to sue the board over alleged ballot irregularities. In 2023, the board hired a professional parliamentarian at $1,100 for the day — voter participation was still just 31%, barely achieving quorum. Meetings consistently ran 4.5+ hours. A new board member resigned after their first term, citing the chaos.

The Solution

LotWize's digital voting system sent secure voting links to verified homeowner emails, tracked proxy submissions, and calculated quorum in real time. Electronic ballots were timestamped, anonymous, and fully auditable. Board candidates could upload bios visible to all homeowners before the meeting.

Our 2022 election ended with a homeowner threatening to sue. Our 2024 election ended with everyone home by 7pm and nobody angry. Same community, completely different experience.
